Overview

IT Architecture – Strategies for New Technology Adoption

Every decade we see massive changes in the IT industry.  In the 80s we saw desktop computing flourish, and progressed to a client server model in the 90s.  Mobile computing grew quickly in 2000 and beyond.  2010 presents a variety of technologies that may deliver IT efficiencies on a grand scale.  Technologies such as desktop virtualization, cloud computing, mobile application delivery and others may be game changers.  What technologies are right for your organization?  What is your decision making process? How can you capitalize on these for your organization?

What You Will Learn

In this one day conference you will learn:

  • How to figure out what the new technologies will do for your company’s needs

  • When will the new technologies be ripe?

  • How to figure out which technologies to commit to?

  • Where to place your bets?

  • How to handle integration?

  • What is the business impact and what are the business drivers?

  • How to validate that you have made the right decision
