Jeffrey Apa

Jeffrey Apa is the Manager of Data Center and Services at Loyola University. He is a technical manager that is responsible for a ten member systems engineering team that supports multiple platforms and technologies across several independent business units, each of whom have unique and diverse needs. Jeffrey has an IT background of infrastructure management (systems, networks, telephony, web-hosting) and engineering work.  His specialties include: 1) Track record of increasing responsibility in systems and IT management, 2) Demonstrated ability to design and implement solutions, built for both high availability and scalability, 3) Advanced experience with Microsoft solutions, including Windows, IIS, Exchange and Active Directory, and 4) Advanced experience with EMC’s CLARiiON line of storage solutions. Jeffrey received a BA in History from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Dean Campbell
Dean D. Campbell is one of Hitachi Data Systems' 3 Principal Global Consultants and covers the areas of economics, resiliency, virtualization and strategy. His most recent Masters Thesis was "The Economic Quantification of Operation Risk, History and Trends" in 2006.

 

Harry Katch
Harry Katch has been involved with x86-based Technology for more than 20 years, going back to 8086 Processors. He has done every level of work from building early desktops and servers from commodity components to designing and implementing networks that encompass tens of thousands of desktops, thousands of servers and more than a petabyte of data.  Currently, he is responsible for x86/x64 Technology at GE Healthcare to include Windows Server Operating Systems, VMware ESX, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Wintel Server Standards. Harry was the lead architect to bring VMware ESX to GE Healthcare growing from the ground up to more than a 100 ESX Hosts worldwide and over 1400 Virtual Machines. Harry holds a variety of training classes and certifications including from Microsoft, VMware, Brocade and Network Appliance.  Harry lives in Cambridge, Wisconsin with his wife and 4 daughters.


Sevan Muradian
A technology professional for over 12 years, with a background in consulting, customer-side IT leadership, and vendor side sales engineering, Mr. Muradian brings a vast array of experience across multiple industries including financial services, telecommunications, and education. Currently Mr. Muradian is a sales engineer for KACE Networks, the leader in integrated systems management for multiple platforms.  Mr. Muradian's areas of specialty are information security and systems management, having deployed best of breed solutions through enterprise scale framework solutions.  Mr. Muradian holds his MS in Information Systems along with the professional designations of CISSP and CISA. Additionally he has been adjunct faculty for Northwestern University since 2001 instructing courses in computer networking, information security, and IT risk management.


Shane O'Donnell

Shane O'Donnell is VP of Engineering for BlueStripe Software.  O'Donnell brings nearly two decades of engineering excellence, strategic vision and execution in both network design and management. He held leadership positions with Cisco Systems, including software strategist & architect where he was responsible for the use of open source technologies in embedded systems and management products. Prior to Cisco, O'Donnell served as CTO at Oculan Corporation, where he led the design and development of OpenNMS and Oculan's award-winning suite of products. At BlueStripe, O'Donnell oversees all product engineering and research efforts.


Mark Riddle

Mark has over twenty-five years of software industry experience, including ten years in SaaS and six in virtualization. His background includes Development and Data Center Operations, as well as Product Management/Marketing, Sales, Account Management, and Customer Support.  Mark ran the Critical Situations and Global Response Teams at Tivoli Systems/IBM, was Director of Sales Engineering at 2ndWave, and held various consulting and technical positions at NCR and AT&T.


Jim Sim
Jim Sim has lead IT Operations teams in such global organizations as Siemens and Stericycle Inc. before arriving at Nippon Express as the Data Center Solutions Manager.  He is responsible for planning and implementing infrastructure solutions that will support Nippon Express business requirements while utilizing technologies that provide maximum return on investment and reduce the cost of operations.   Jim is MSCE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) and CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) certified and has been in the IT industry since 1998.


Steve Susina
Steve Susina has more than 20 years of engineering and marketing experience in the telecommunications and IT industries and currently serves as Director of Marketing for Laurus Technologies, a business consulting and IT solutions provider based in Itasca, IL. Previously, he was Senior Product Manager for UTStarcom's fixed/mobile convergence product line, and has also held various sales, marketing and engineering roles at Tellabs and AT&T. His speaking experience includes technology conferences around the world on such topics as IT & business strategy, optical networking, compliance and identity management and mobile communications.  Susina holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.
